It can get a little confusing finding your way around, but if you pay close attention to the signs and arrows, you should be fine. Memorial City Mall is large in size and requires a good deal of walking. People can rent skates and glide across the ice, making it a great option for recreation and a dose of coolness during the hot season. Houston has a hot climate and the idea that a city so warm would have an indoor ice skating rink inside a shopping center struck us as unusual, but in a good way. But we were even more impressed by the indoor ice skating rink. We were impressed by the large carousel and the kids had a great time going for a spin. I can remember the first time I visited with the family. But the standout feature at Memorial City Mall isn’t the stores or the food court- it’s the extras, namely a double- deck carousel and an ice skating rink. Memorial City Mall has specialty restaurants not usually found in shopping centers, like Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, etc. Most every member of the family will find a hobby- type store, clothing store, jewelry store, or other unique shop to make their visit a memorable one. The mall has anchor stores like Target, Dillard’s, Macy’s, JC Penney, and others along with several specialty stores that keep everyone entertained. It’s not the closest mall to our house, but it has a little more to offer than other nearby malls. My family has been visiting Memorial City Mall on and off ever since we moved here in 2007. Convenient to the interstate highway and a large percentage of the metropolitan area, Memorial City Mall has a nice mix of familiar stores, specialty shops, restaurants, and different forms of entertainment to make your shopping trip an enjoyable one. Memorial City Mall is one of several large Houston malls.
